Wow! What an amazing day! We arrived early and managed to take an extra tour of Mohawk Chapel before heading to the Woodland Cultural Centre and Mohawk Residential School. It was both a challenging and beautiful experience, much like the weatherโ€”one moment dark, dreary, and pouring rain, the next a break in the clouds bringing hope. We met new friends at St. Luke’s Anglican in Ohsweken, ON, enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by Lana Henhawk, an Indigenous caterer from Ohsweken, and exchanged heartfelt stories about how we can be better neighbours. We wrapped up the day with a quick stop at Irocrafts (quick so I didnโ€™t spend my life savings!).
